So. Here we find ourselves once again, standing on the crossroads of decisions. Not exactly sure which way to go but knowing that each path is completely unmistakable from the other. Each path offers different rewards and yet different perils. One leads you to greatness, one to obscurity. One path is the closest to your goal. So, here I am. It's 10:32, I have a 500-word essay that is due tomorrow. Do I write the essay or do I post on my bare blog in hopes of finishing the Essay henceforth?
I think you know which pathway I have trodden upon.
Well, I had a beautiful piece that would have extremely impressed everyone who read it. It would have caused cries of wonder at my stunning intellect as I talked about Jerome Bettis, the 270-pound running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, or when I mentioned how totally stoked I am that the Seahawks are going to the Superbowl. Ah, well. Simply cast me in such a favorable light now and all will be fixed. Friggin' TypePad. Ruining it for me...
Well, where should we start? Perhaps at the beginning of my tale. You are looking at a new man.
Or will be.
For you see, tomorrow will be the dawn of a new version of Maddog. An improved, enhanced version. Maddog 2.0. Tomorrow sees me start a brand new nutrition regime, a little different then the one I am on now. Read this excellent article by Jacob Wilson on the great site www.abcbodybuilding.com to see what I'm doing. It's something very similar to that. I'm really getting into this whole bodybuilding lifestyle. I am now getting more serious about and moving towards Powerlifting as not only a sport but a way of life. I've been doing a lot of research, reading things like the "Window of Opportunity", a great article that I recommend about post-workout meals. I'm wanting to do strength training with some size training mixed in as well. My overall goal is to do the CrossFit daily workouts. "Elite Fitness", that's my plan! In three to six months, you'll have a totally ripped and buffed Maddog. You see this? That is me. It will be me. It's a birthday present to Sarah. She gets a totally macho guy. Oh snap!
Oh yea, yesterday was my brown-eyed girl's birthday. Happy Birthday, sweetie! I spent most of yesterday with her, throwing down some games of Medal of Honor and watching Monty Python. These were her requested activities, I kid you not. I'm pretty lucky, not every guy has a girl that wants to play VIDEOGAMES and watch MONTY PYTHON on her birthday. She's like those girls that guys will dream exist....somewhere. There's nothing better then a cute girl clutching a GameCube controller while trying to shoot Nazis. Nothing better in the world!
And I got her a Strong Bad Hoodie. She loves Strong Bad and she loves hoodies, so instant win. I'll post pics of it when it arrives.
You guys all know the Marlboro Man, right? That man who simply summed up "American Soldier" with the cigarette dangling from his lips, dirt on his face and blood on his nose? Well, he's out of the Marines and now coping with the war. It's a wonderful piece, terribly somber. When I read stuff like that, it's horribly hard to not go out and enlist straightaway. I feel like I should share an equal amount of that burden, deal with an equal amount of that pain. I guess that is what is driving me towards becoming a cop, a profession of keeping the innocent from harm, and bringing harm to the evil. I just seethe at injustice too much to be a simple clerk.
I think of guys like James Blake Miller and I'm in awe of the human spirit and it's capabilities. To me, James Blake Miller is the true American man. The embodiment of American Spirit. To hell with Hollywood and their fake glamor, it's the simple Kentucky boys who watch their friends die and struggle with shooting their enemies who are the real America. That's the America I want.
That's who I want to be.
These two pics sum it up for me:

If you really need to get into contact, I usually have my cellphone
on during study and workout times. Give my AIM, MSN or Y! names a buzz
while I'm away to get the number.
Well,
I should probably head out. It's late and this essay needs to be
finished. Good hunting everyone. I leave you with this poor webcam
capture.
Fear,
