I lost my stinkin' thumbdrive, which had all of my papers for most of my classes. This includes a rough draft for a ten-page research paper for my English course on Federal Involvement in Education. Now I'm facing performing a total re-write of the paper. This is not cool, thus I'm kinda pissed. Argh.
Today I've got a meeting to discuss my transfer and pick out my courses for the Fall semester. I'm taking two classes this summer during the May-June semester and another possible course later on. Most are all super easy classes. Just prereqs I need. But still, I might have to work a lot less then I wanted. I wanted to get a good number of Lifeguarding hours in.
Stuck here at the computer lab again, reading my Guns, Germs and Steel book. It's written by Jared Diamond, a massive socialist professor from UCLA. He gave a speech that I went and listened to, drove me crazy. Anyways, Diamond's talking about kleptocracy and how elites ensure control of the populace. One of the methods he mentioned was, now get this, take away the weapons from the general public. Ok Mr. Diamond, if you are saying a kleptocracy is bad and the elites are controlling society, then shouldn't we get rid of our restricting gun control? Won't that let us ensure that our society isn't oppressive, that the general public is still in charge?
Just more conflictions from the wonderful world of socialist centralizationists.
