I had written a complicated post about Long Tail distribution and how it will affect Hollywood. It came from Chris Anderson's Wired article and his subsequent blog. However, Typepad lost it (interestingly enough, I also lost this post during it's writing phase). Nonetheless, I've been looking more into Long Tail economics as I prep to rewrite.
One of things I did was buy The Long Tail today, written by Chris Anderson. It just came out and wow, is it good. It's a look into the changes of "hit" generated market to niche markets. This book may be one of the best non-fiction books I've read. It's a fascinating look into my generation's cultural economics. I've just hit Chapter Three and it's really gripping stuff.
I also bought Snow Crash but I haven't even touched that yet, The Long Tail is too awesome. If you have any interests at all in economics or business, get this book. It is the future of 21st century business.
